After some adjustments to the default tablet settings I finally feel like I’m drawing in a sketchbook instead of trying to awkwardly reign in a tablet with a mind of it’s own (LOL). Now I can draw my boo Oni with all the sparkles she deserves. :*
I managed to get my scanner working! It took a lot of headaches with uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but at last my scanner isn’t a cat bed anymore. Anyhoo, I bring drawings… but not many. I have been feeling more inspired this week since I’m getting back into writing, so maybe I’ll bring better things next time. Well, I’m just going to go ahead and add my pointless commentaries.
**Sidenote: All of these images are automatically hyperlinked by WP to open to its full size (most of these are about 2000×3000 I believe). Thanks WP! :U
I wish I was able to draw things like buildings and landscapes because I have so many ideas that I want to sketch out. Maybe I should just do it regardless of how shitty I think it will look, you know? I really have to get over this idea that every drawing needs to be done quickly. If I got over that then I could keep returning to the same drawing over and over until it looked infinitely better than the type of things I draw in a 20-40 minute span.
*sigh* Okay then. I’m going to tackle writing and drawing some more. Next time I might post an excerpt from the story if I feel confident enough with my progress to do that. I should also consider uploading some of these drawings to my website and deviant art whenever I find the motivation to. Blah…
If all goes well my next entry about my boring personal updates will be drawn instead of written. That is what I am working on in between sketches and doodles of random objects.
Oh! I found an artbook that I saved from the sixth grade. It is so horrendous. Like, I had this comic where Sailor Moon runs into Sephiroth, and it is the most random crossover ever. I was cracking up because back then I actually thought a villain like Sephiroth could be turned into this upbeat, friendly guy by spending a few hours talking to someone like Usagi. *sigh* I know better now. That book will never see the light of day if I can help it. And those Fatal Fury comics I did. Uggggh, I’m ashamed. Bye. (LMAO)
Most of these drawings are old as balls, but at least I got around to uploading them… via camera no less. In my defense I’m really protective of my sketchbooks, so tearing pages out is a huge no for me. Soooo, that being said, please forgive the shitty quality. Also, get used to it since my patience with my current scanner is at 0% at this point. You get what you pay for, right? Word of advice: if a scanner is cheap it is probably for a reason. LOL. Okay, let’s move on with everything~
Alright, that is everything I am sharing today. I do more writing than drawing these days, but I’ll post whatever I can when I can. Actually, it is my goal to one day turn this blog into 80% drawings and 20% text posts. Even if I have to draw about the crap going on in my life and take a picture it would be great practice, you know? I have so much practicing to do. I think I’ll pick up some scrapbook backgrounds from Jo-Ann’s so the pictures I take will have fancy borders around them. Yeah, let’s do that!
Okay. That’s all.
Thanks for enduring this messy art dump. ‘Til next time! ♥
